DREAM OF LIFE

DREAM OF LIFE

It's said that life is a dream
It's harder you know, then it seems
Dance in the moonlight sing along
As the world burns the devil's last song
And we don't seem to even care
In darkness life's not fair

Tell a little story, the devil will lie
Before the rooster crows, we deny
And the Cross broke hopes we held
As the world rejoiced and rebelled
Yet we're covered because He bled
Christ Jesus rose from the dead

In the beginning, a Word God spoke
In an instant, our world awoke
Time passed, the pain of life press
And that same Word became flesh
But this world, we just forgot
Came to His own, who knew Him not

And fire burns, a world insane
And the lost are trapped by pain
And through the smoke of endless war
Hear ancient Zion rise and roar
Hearts of men, now make room
For in Jerusalem is an empty tomb!

If life is a dream, we will awake.
As the Lord defeats the old snake
For the Lord sings a new song
It started in Eden, where we belong
And sings to us with all saints voice
To sing along is mankind's choice
AMEN

About this poem

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14
