Irreconcilable differences

Truly the greatest work of fantasy
Every word written was poetry
The voice actors so well chosen
All the images drawn with devotion
Every background a beautiful tapestry

It had me watching, unable to stop
The plot twists made my jaw drop
clenched my teeth when it was cruel
And it had me laughing like a fool
It even induces the odd teardrop

So without the slightest hesitation
And with my personal recommendation
I gave it to my sweetheart
Expecting from my counterpart
The same feelings of elation

“What did you think” I laid my heart bare
Then my new ex shrugged and said “Meh”
