Moral laws

An honorable man dies in a mine
A physical job respected just fine
So we protect the men by passing laws
Safety standards are a good cause

His wife now alone with his 3 children
An unskilled mother’s work days begin
She finds a physical job that takes little time
But supporting her family’s considered a crime

She could only expect abuse
After all she’s only a prostitute
How could she seek police’s protection
When her report means her prosecution

They yell its disgusting that this “Venus”
Makes some money rubbing a penis
But fine when a masseuse rubs a mans back
Or a gynecologist put his finger in a crack

Who do these “moral laws” protect?
They just leave an industry unchecked
Instead of yelling it's unsafe, educate
or chastising workers try to regulate

don’t force them into the shadows
It’s not likely a life they chose
The time has come to pass some laws
To protect our mothers, daughters, our whores
