Jack Of All Trades
You did what a true father should
Though you didn't get any pay.
You would do anything you could
To get my car started that day.
I was working the graveyard shift.
The days that my car wouldn't start,
You would use your God-given gift
By using your hands, soul, and heart.
Whatever it was like outside
Hot, very cold, sleet, snow, or rain.
When I left you would always hide
What was in your eyes which was pain.
All those times you worked on my car,
Whenever I was with you dad,
Deep within they're truly by far
The best times that we ever had.
