If We All Knew

If we all were taught,
The beginning development...
Of our American History.
To believe the truth as is.
And not rewritten to fiction,
Without being deceived.
Throughout centuries  to teach,
Another interpretation to have believed.
Today's quality of life,
Many perceive to be all about them.
Division between ourselves to accept,
Effectively!
Would expose those protecting to defend,
Fiction to delude.
Successfully to exclude,
The ones they refuse...
To acknowledge them as more patriotic.
Than the majority of the people,
Living to claim...
Their ancestors came to arrive,
On these shores of America.
Undocumented to be refugees,
Immigrants or useless human beings.
Seeking the right to leech freely.
Because the color of their skin,
And a heritage to discriminate them.
Clearly of different ethnicities.
Would today in these times we live.
Be more of value to respect.
If we all knew,
The greatness and beauty of America.
Is reflected by its racial diversity.
And not an image to symbolize,
The pretentiousness of it.
Depicting colorless faces.
In places people worship,
Their hypocrisies everywhere.
As chosen to represent themselves to be,
Flawless and perfect.
While others are ushered to stand,
In the background during photo ops.
To validate the selling of sold lies told.
Erected.
In bold and expensive monuments built.
With heros sitting on the back of horses.
And later to realize,
How on Earth could they be heros.
When several of them,
Had abandoned their patriotism.
For an opportunity to sit and hold a pose.
To capture that right picture,
That a picked carver of stone...
Known to embellish and exaggerate,
From a point of view...
Soldiers fighting for their lives.
In trenches and at the front line of battle,
Had not been interviewed.
Or had been refused.
Because of the obviousness,
Of their ethnic appearance!

But yet...
It is still about the image.
And not the reality to depict as is!
Living life to live,
To battle against the inequities.
Destroying a way of life.
Many seek on a daily basis,
To cover up and censor truth.
From themselves!

'Why is this activity,
Continuing to be done?'

'If it is ever revealed we too,
Are descendants of immigrants.
That will leave 'them and others',
Left to believe they are better than us!'

'Oh?
Dont worry about it.
That to be observed to witness,
Will never be mentioned to notice!
Even when celebrating,
Their contributions made.
Throughout the decades.
And years to come.
This process is as slow,
As accepting the Earth...
Is not the center of this Universe.
And there are multiple in the Cosmos!'

'No way!'

'And the Sun?
It is a gigantic star!
And we are less than annoying fleas.
Picked out of the fur,
Of your favorite pet!'
