Eat me up

You just had to kill me.
Eat me up slowly.
First, you'll put the water to a boil. Then unwrap my casing
You'll sharpen your knife and put on your apron
You'll lay me on the counter, naked in all my glory
Then start chopping me up into pieces
My ankles, legs, hands, arms, ears, nose, eyes, head
My liver, brain, kidneys, lungs, stomach, heart
You'll marinate me in pepper, onions, tomatoes, curry, thyme.
Then you cook me slowly, watch me boil in your pot.
Watch the flavor seep into my Insides, the sweet smell of me overtaking your senses.
The soft slosh of your ladle in the vessel, you bring the spoon up to your lips, and slurp.
I'm almost ready, almost ready for you to consume.
To devour like you've not eaten in years.
Like you're stuck in the wilderness with miles and miles of sand
Until you saw me
My dark skin glistening in the sun. Ebony hair littered around my body.
Black eyes in my head. My lips pursed in adoration.
Your teeth glistening in hunger
You set the table, do away with cutlery, and start to feast.
You sink into my flesh like a rabid lion, starving beyond recognition
You consume all I am, you savor my everything
You take all I am and make it yours
Until all that remains is a memory.
Your beautiful boy, now a part of you
