A Manger Throne

A MANGER THRONE

A baby shivers all alone
A King born to a manger throne
God visits the lonely earth
All alone at our Savior's birth

A new star is His only crown
Shepherds come and they bow down
A sheep bleets the wind blows
God is here...and no one knows

His cries carry into the night
Bathed in a star's gentle light
Born Israel's Holy King.
Only the Angels sing

This Child, this King, this God
Not visiting with judgment's rod
But taking the punishment on Himself
Denying Heaven for man's poor wealth

Remember this Silent, Holy night
That star wasn't the brightest light
God visits us to atone
A King on a manger throne
AMEN
