Talk to me

Deborah Renta 1967 (Philadelphia)

Turn me on intellectually

Stimulate me mentally

Tell me about a new concept you’re developing

I like to listen to your every word, every verb every syllable you utter.

Your articulation brings stimulation to my mind’s  need of creation.

My creativity is stimulated by your sensitivity.

Your presence makes my mind race. I remind myself to take it at a slow pace.

Nothing that comes easily is appreciated only depreciated.

Let’s take our time and get to know each other’s dreams.  Build each other’s self esteem. Can our minds conjugate before we mate?

I want to explore your mind before I explore your body.  A mind is a terrible thing to waste. I refuse to give you my body in haste.

You’ll fall in love with a beautiful mind. A beautiful heart. I believe this is the way to a great new start.

About this poem
