Self

Self
I'm not your average petite weight, Yet sometimes not comfortable in my own skin, because society,  makes me believe that I am not beautiful, Society have not been through what I been through , eight hours of labor , eleven hours of labor, 16 hours of labor, overeating, under eating ,The experiences of being a Sister a Mother, a wife, a friend, a human being, I'm not your average petite weight, But my heart is big, my mind is open, and my vision is clear, I will not just accept anything because I know myself worth. I will be careful with the decisions I make, because I have eyes that are watching me, and believe in me, and depend on me, I am the example I am the first teacher before the world teaches, what you plant in the beginning is embedded into the future of someone's life. I am not your average petite weight, But I have learned to be comfortable and appreciate who I am, and what I been through, because I am me and there's only one me, what other way is there to be other than yourself.

About this poem

Different stages in my life inspires me to pick up a pen and write. To be honest I don't remember the exact date I wrote this but I know I needed my heart to sing and let others feel what I feel or felt in that moment.
