Scents of Memory

In a whiff, a sniff, a gentle breeze,
Lurks memory’s keys in scents that tease.
A pie in the oven, a rain-soaked field,
Unseen time capsules, once concealed.

Grandma's perfume, in a hug, it dwells,
A story of love, each molecule tells.
Burnt rubber, fireworks, bring forth boyish grins,
Wars fought with sparklers, a scent of whims and wins.

That library book, its pages old and wise,
Inhales of adventure, where fantasy flies.
A mix of leather, dust, a dash of mold,
Time travel in a sniff, stories untold.

The ocean’s salty tang, or your lover’s skin,
A reel of memories, silently tucked in.
Scent’s magic, in its silent, invisible art,
Sketches life’s map, straight into the heart.

A deep, funny truth, in odors we find,
Nostalgic trails, our pasts intertwined.
With each sniff, a voyage, no tickets, no plans,
Just a nose, leading us through time's vast expanses.
