A flower not worth water

Ollie Casey 1975 (Ennis)

Would you give the flower who’s wilted and petals are slowly coming off some appreciation, give thought of its Situation, Harsh weather roughly cradling it like an angry parent sick of its weeping as rain comes down its stem seeping out, Its roots become weak with such treatment from what it thought could trust as everyone stares from the bottom of their shoe nearly walking all over it with disgust, Mistreated and misguided is the flower who’s thorns can’t protect itself anymore as it waited for love at the door that never did open not even once before, It waits for something it’ll never recive as long as it stays in the dirt no matter how rotten it’s perceived.

About this poem

It’s about feeling unloved and waiting very patiently for someone to cherish what you are
