Secrets

I promise.

Tell me a secret and in return and I'll keep it locked in the bottom of my heart,
Only you will have the key, say the word and I'll let you open the door because ive guarded for so long
I'll hold those unspoken words until the hair on my head turns grey, even if those secrets taunt me I'll stay.
I'll let you lie to me; hurt me,break my heart.
You'll always have the choice-
If you chose to leave me, I'll keep it secret,
I'll still wait for you until you come back.
Even if You betrayed me, I know you have secrets you won't tell me,
Even if I beg and plead to be part of your secret.

About this poem

Sectet is about the narrator finding it hard to express thier feelings. As they feel that they are constantly judged,in order to cope with that feelings they resort to keeping things from others. The narrator hides things from people but and express the way the people feel by not being to secrets. It's almost like the narrator hides things from the people that should know.
