Summer Breeze

our love was good
like a gentle summer breeze
and then it was taken away
with so much ease

until then the love I had read about
I only heard about in songs
until then the kind of love I had
except for once
didn’t last for long

got me wondering why
its so hard to see
when it’s the one thing that we have
that we both received for free

I hope one day to find out
but when that time comes rolling by
Someone will be missing me

when lives and loves are lost
no one says its fair
