Conflict

In gardens where honeysuckles sway,
Affection's sweet essence lights up the day.
They gently weave in warm embrace,
A fragrant, enchanting, blooming grace.

Yet, a fear creeps in, a buzzing threat,
Wasps, with stings, we won't forget.
Innocence disturbed by their flight,
In shadows cast, they cause a slight.

For honeysuckles, a tranquil theme,
In their fragrance, two souls gleam.
But fear of wasps, a daunting plight,
In this garden, feelings conquer the night.

In this place where contrasts bloom,
Affection and fear together loom.
Honeysuckles fragrant, wasps take flight,
In the garden's dance of dark and light

About this poem

Growing up In a town where there’s only farmland and forests for miles, I was able to explore nature and life on my own. I learned the balance of the universe walking through creeks, picking flowers, and getting stung.
