To Alone Again I Go

Away from the light
And the warmth of her touch
From the scent of perfume
Her laughter, her blush
To alone again I go

Away from the sun
And the heat that it brings
Away from the crocus
Made living by Spring
To alone again I go

Fleeting were days where the laughter would reign
Cut short by the constant sorrow and pain
Lying and waiting to bring me back ‘round
To a place I unfortunately know…

To alone again I go
