For God's Sake

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Thank you, Father, for always being there when I wake up.
I always feel so much love when I hear your voice.
And my heart always gets so warm when I feel your presence.

I know now what it means when you said:
You would never leave me or forsake me.
Let my life be a song revealing who You are.

You are salt that preserves and adds flavor to life.
You are light bringing illumination to the truth.
You are the theme and melody of every song I sing.

When I awake for the last time all I want is to see Your face.
