Reflection

I honestly don't miss all those days where I was always high and on the grind,
living my life feeling very confused and like I was blind.
Getting so high that I really felt like I was losing my damn mind,
that the tight noose my addiction had around my neck would never unwind.
There were times that I wasn't all that kind,
doing things that would hurt others when I felt hurt or I was in a bind.
So today I work hard on all the things that I need to do to help me leave it all behind,
enjoying all the small things of life that I come across or find.
