Nature of Light

For rays of light there is no time
They know no distance either
The sparkling bridges into now
Bind all this world together

For you and I the Space is vast
The Universe so ancient
For light it all goes on at once
In everlasting Present

Selves come and go as ripples do
From nothing into never
But every spark which shines from us
Will stay alight forever

About this poem

At the speed of light time stands still. With no time comes no distance. And when you look upon a star those rays of light connect you two across the Universe. You are literally touching distant starts with your brain.
