Hypocrisy

Robert loughran 1962 (Ireland)

Its a very common human trait ,

to be blind to our own
hate.

Resentments remodeled as concern.

You must show compassion,

or your cities we will burn.

We must help the stranger,

Yes of course we should,

but not ignore our elderly neighbor.

Scream slogans but do no good.

Pick up that child that's fallen,

Find some time along the way,

to help a hurting soul,

get through another day.

Stop telling everybody,
whatt they should and shouldn't do,

and realize improvement,

Is up to me and you.

Don't drag down your brother,

for you find his pain alarming,

For he too has a mother

that cries at his self harming.

Here i am advising,

which is against  my own advice.

So if you have to say a bad thing,

then  just say a good thing twice.
