SEARCHING

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

You look but do not find your search, yet you are blind, for you do not know what you're looking for. You touch but do not feel. What is fake? What is real

Standing in the doorway, how things look so vividly different than your dream, how the words you speak suddenly have some meaning than the sound that they make when the silence of your mind at last breaks

There are no colors, black or white, just never-lasting shades of grey. I t never is day or night, past or future, only the present that i search for, hoping not to take every single breath for granted, but there are so many damn secrets inside of the air no need to have any fear.

Searching deep inside the pit of my stomach, I find that these feelings change just like the weather sometimes. If I'm lucky, I can put a name to face the unknowing seasons, but everything must change and be rearranged to fit your life.

Searching as I run around naked just like the day that I was born, waiting to go home, never being alone within myself with any judgment I dream of reality, so reality is a searching dream. It seems a place of warmth and love as I follow the stars above.

I find sanity here. My childhood memories are in the corner locked inside of a box as I use them to search for the end of beginning
