Thank you

When I see the skies above,
When I see the people I love,
When I see a laughing child,
When I see a lion in the wild,
When I hear the sound of the stream,
When I see a beautiful dream,

All makes me think of you,
Everything eternal yet so new,
So many wonders so little time,
Oh! you have made my life sublime,
I feel so blessed to be a part
Of the jewel of your heart.

I thank the stars, I thank my eyes
I thank the blossoming flowers, I thank the glittering skies,
I thank you my God for making me see,
To feel and cherish the boundless beauty
Of the earth and all the things that it inherits,
For letting me appreciate the wonderment it merits.

I thank you God for all I see,
I thank you for letting me be me.

Triparna de Vreede

I am a poet, philosopher, mystic, and intellectual all rolled into one. I write poetry when prose can’t seem to do justice anymore more…
