This No Longer Matters

Popularity to achieve it.
With social appearances received.
Today gets one more influence and status.
Than having common sense.
Known intelligence.
And shown competence used,
When performing an activity.
That results in an outcome,
To eventually become done successfully.

This to witness to see,
Publicly or in private to accomplish.
Seems attributes to have,
From a recent past today laughed at!

Today's tasks to approach them fast,
For many takes them done to do...
To first learn how to cheat in school.
Without learning life lessons.
Or anything else about rules to obey.
As long as they are taught,
From examples made.
By those who endorse and support a way,
To fraud, lie, deceive and corrupt...
Their climb up to the top.
With a doing to impress and dressed,
Successfully to play the part.
And being smart enough to trick and fool,
Those easily fictioned to delude and dupe.
Who are equally seeking,
Their image represented with interests.
Regardless if their interests,
Returns to them no benefit.
Since this for many,
Has nothing to do...
For their investment to waste and make,
On allegations and the proof of evidence.
Presented.
And pointless assumptions made,
Declaring them fools used as tools!

'Uh...
And this done to you does not matter?'

'Why should it?
As long as our interests are represented,
Why would you be so concerned?
Afterall,
Your image and the one I represent...
Has a difference that does not satisfy,
My accustomed quality of life.
Nor the appearance of my expectations!'

'Do you know how stupid that sounds?'

'And the point you are attempting to make,
Is what?'

'That to attempt in these days and times,
I have to agree...
Does no longer matter!
If you can not see how bright the light is,
Who am I to describe,
The dawning of it.
Appearing upon the Horizon.'

'Oh yeah?
Well the Sun sets in the West!'

'Huh?'

'The Sun!
It sets in the West!'

'WHAT?'

'YOU?
MAY BE AN EARLY RISER.
AND THAT'S OKAY.
ME?
I WORK NIGHTS.
AND SLEEP TOO LATE,
TO AWAIT FOR WHAT'S GOING ON...
AT DAWN!'
