The love that came and went.

A J C 1958 (Swansea, MA)

The love that came and went.

These things I bought, I bought them for you, and now that you're mine, I want to give them to you. Childhood living was easy to do, but now that I'm older, I'm still in love with you. The sun shines as it gleams off your eyes and your sweet smile. I would walk for a mile. As we walk, the breeze blows through your hair just like your scent; it's always there. Your ivory skin is like a cool summer rain. The next day comes, and our love flows down the drain. All I feel in my heart is the pain and the shame. I still love you, and for me, it's still the same and it will never change. I have to live with the pain and shame.
