The sand between my toes.

dianejean57 1957 (Swansea, MA)

Sand between my toes.

I'm a girl alone in this world. I finished my chores, so I went down by the shore. I can feel the sin as it comes up between my toes, and the wind blows through my hair like a cool summer breeze. Then I see someone with a gold ring who I would like to meet. He seems so sweet. We sat on the dock, watched the clock, and then went over and sat on the rocks.

About this poem

I am disabled and don't walk so I don't get to the beach too much but when I do I lay in the sand.
