Lovers Tango

I’d drink you like absinthe,
and get lost in your realm.
Unaware of time passing,
or the fires growing in hell.

I’ll get drunk on your presence,
sedated and pleased.
Stumbling like an alcoholic,
full of raging, perverse, need.

I’ll dance with your aura,
keeping perfect time.
A tangled perfect mess,
your downfall is now mine.

They call it lovers tango,
for it surely takes two.
So we'll dance our way through the gates,
there’s nothing else to do.
