SOLILOQUY of a DOUBTING TEACHER, or playing with famous quotations.

To teach or not to teach, that is the question:
Whether ‘tis nobler in the school to suffer
The slips and sorrows of our crazy system,
-With this initial, inborn instructive instinct
Or bid farewell to teaching as it is
And pass to other actions. To teach – to preach,
That is to fight for what you preach and teach
Such is the destiny of all our dedication and commitment!
To take up something else? Another occupation?
Might give us pause… But who will bring
The light of knowledge to the young and eager?
And how are we going to survive
Without the youthful energy and ardour?
How could we leave the immature, unprotected,
Misguided and misled, lost and abandoned?
Then who will be “the catchers in the rye”?
This is the question of a doubting teacher-
To teach or not to teach? …and you choose which?
