Dawn

Darkness grips the world with an iron fist
Even the the darkest star can't loosen the hold
The black fingers of the night were on me
And the world
I am alone imprisoned within the shadow
No one can hear my cries,
See my tears and no one cares
I am like a bird without wings,
Ready to fly
And rest in peace.
Then someone came,
Raised me over a bright horizon
Throw-off my loneliness
Listened to my cries
And wiped-away my tears,
And everyday cares,
Smile so bright and so warm,
The darkness overshadowing me has gone
The Dawn has come
To start a new day
Start a new life.
