Kaleidoscope

In the veins, a kaleidoscope swirls,
Chaos and whispers, life's intricate twirls.
Lies shaken, ties of blood, in shadows they hide,
While sanity and morality, side by side, abide.

Taught to preserve façades, a norm to embrace,
At the cost of self, in this societal race.
Severed a limb from the family's decay,
Yet rooted in a forest where memories sway.

In the silence, a truth softly sung,
A journey embarked, where authenticity's flung.
Through fractured norms, and shattered themes,
A garden blooms, unfettered by schemes.

Unshackled from fears once blindly obeyed,
Reclaiming a voice, shedding masquerade.
Chaos now refracts life's vibrant hue,
In a mosaic of scars, each tale anew.

Amidst the labyrinth of self-discovery's test,
Emerges a soul, in its truth blessed.
With flawed brushstrokes and wounds that heal,
Dances a spirit, resilient and real.

Past shadows linger, but no longer recoil,
For within this chaos, I've found my soil.
A metamorphosis within the mire,
A liberated essence, unquenched fire.

About this poem

In the haze of smoke and the effervescent bubbles, lies a profound truth—the intricate fragility of the human mind. Behind the veils of indulgence and momentary escape, lies a complex tapestry of emotions and experiences. It's a reminder that within the rituals and substances we turn to, there exists a deeper narrative—a narrative of seeking, of coping, and sometimes, of finding moments of solace amidst the chaos.
