Rebirth

Dead, buried a decade deep and entombed by a bouquet of lilacs lies my childhood.

The beginning has begun to end.
Nothing remains but the glossy embrace of faded memories and unshed tears.

Yet, there is glory in change. So, let not the tears fall in sadness but let them triumph in the revelry of rebirth.
For the road is truly just beginning.

About this poem

This is a poem from a collection of poems I made as a gift for my favorite highschool teacher because it's my last year and I honestly wanted to give her a graduation gift (all irony intended).
