Hills

Hills seem nice, so are their people
They can be rough as they seem
As it seems, do not take as it seems

Sun rises and sets, right back of hills
People getup and fall right middle of hills
It all seems nice, do not take as it seems

Hills go green, grey, brown and white
As seasons change, people change colors too
Seems great, do not take as it seems

Streams and rivers avoid hills, oceans strike hills
A lot of strength in hills, strong people live in hills
Seems powerful, do not take as it seems

Beverly hills, Everest hills, Table hills and Fuji hills
There are many hills, lots of people around hills
Seems similar, do not take as it seems

Hills stop winds and water, they are storm to storms
They are pleasure climbing for mountaineers and goats
Seems fun, do not take as it seems

Volcanoes erupt from hills, landslides and avalanches
Falls and crashes are in hills, people struggle in hills
Seems dangerous, do not take as it seems

Hills are steep, beautiful, narrow, long and sliding
Shepherds, farmers, hunters live in hills, tourists visit
Seems beautiful, do not take as it seems

About this poem

I lived in Newfoundland, which is quite hilly and I have been contrasting hills with the people.
