I found a home.
I found a home in the beat of your heart; The night you held me close With your bare chest pressed against mine. I thought I was a wayfarer with no abode But it was your kindness that was bestowed Who knew some souls were sown? It was until I found you, my soul was alone Drenched in the agony of Every other story untold. So when I glance at you, I envision you as a home. Your eyes are the resplendent of a window, With the sight of a rainbow Lurking ahead every beautiful colour ever to exist; Your nose is like the ornamental Work on plaster, carved with perfection Your whole visage reminds me of The door of a house; Perhaps an old black polished walnut door That swings back and forth to Every feeling that passes by But I promise you, I’ve never seen it lie. As I reminisce running my fingertips over Your very bare chest, I think of it as A field of orchids like the ones is Hawaii Marvelously smooth and silky. The more I think of you, I realize you have walls built up Which are like the fence outside the Angelic house, protecting the deity Yet somehow prison your thoughts However I do believe that every wall Has an elegant story that’s ever been lived You are truly a magical abode. If it is true that “when love finds you It will be at the comfort of your own house” I believe, I’ve found a home At the comfort of your own arms.
About this poem
It’s a poem I wrote to loved one that made me feel like home. He was the one,who held me everytime I broke. So this one, I dedicate to him. A childhood memory he is to keep.
