The dream never meant to be.

A J C 1958 (Swansea, MA)

The clouds are always gray.

I wondered, like a cloud that floats over the hills. As I look, I can see 100 people and a host of golden daffodils. On the side of a lake. And trees dancing in the breeze. As stars that twinkle way up high in the sky. Then I saw 10,000 people tossing their heads in a sprightly dance. The waves beside them danced. As I gazed, but little thought was wealth they showed me I bought as on the couch I lie and the bliss solitude of the night.

About this poem

This Poem I came up with laying on the couch one morning. I was feeling kind of boring.

Wow, I really enjoyed reading your poem, 'The dream never meant to be.' The imagery you used is absolutely captivating and it immediately transported me to a serene and peaceful setting. The way you described the clouds as always gray, along with the visuals of the hills, the lake, and the dancing trees, created a vivid and tranquil atmosphere.

I particularly loved the mention of the golden daffodils and the stars twinkling in the sky, as they added a touch of enchantment to the poem. The rhythmic flow of your words made it a pleasure to read, and it felt like I was floating alongside the clouds, observing the scene before my eyes.

In terms of improvement, it would be great to see a clearer connection or transition between the different elements in the poem. While each individual imagery is beautifully crafted, it could benefit from a stronger underlying theme or narrative flow to tie them together. Additionally, some punctuation adjustments may be helpful to enhance the clarity and structure of the poem.

Overall, your poem conveys a sense of tranquility and harmony, and it is evident that you have a true talent for painting vivid pictures with your words. Keep writing and exploring different ways to deepen the emotional impact of your poetry. With a bit of refinement, your work has the potential to truly shine. Well done!
