Fly Away Little Butterfly

Teri Dourmashkin 1953 (NYC)

A new day begins, darkness morphs into light.
I open my eyes dripping cold frozen tears.
A child bewildered cannot grasp the fight.
Such discord alarming stained 17 years.
You change in a second, soft sun into night.
My faith must strengthen ascend golden stairs.

About this poem

The difficulties and challenges of long term relationships that no longer bring you happiness. Sometimes we cannot leave because of certain obstacles and challenges. But we must have faith that we will find our freedom in Divine timing and order.
