The Potion

Joshua Kinsel 1984 (San Antonio, tx)

I search my soul deep down within
And found the power I need to begin

The coven has called the invite sent
I rushed over and found out the hint

The ritual starts as soon as I arrive
First an enchantment so I'll survive

Spells of protection a bubble surrounds
So impenetrable I can't hear a sound

My words a clear precise to the point
The candle is lit and so is a joint

As the bud burns I watch the smoke rise
Pen to paper intentions I write

Torn to pieces then set ablaze
Into the cauldron for the next phase

Now the wax and herbs from the tea
I brew a potion for the path I will see

The possession I seek it's hard to find
Only I'll know the place where it hides

An object so great to possess I may die
A risk I'll take for energy so high

It'll be my treasure no one will know
I'll bury it deep in a vault down below

A location secret, not easy to find
Close enough for the power to be mine
