The Chance
Sitting on the cliff of destiny
and gambling with the game of luck
and failure.
Counting the odds
of loss and gain
Little did he know
The tremors of separation
shake the foundations
and lay bare
the cracks that were covered
with the moss
of pleasantries and platitudes
