Patricia Flanagan

In the heart of family’s embrace,
Aunt Patty shines with grace.
Kind and loving, hardworking soul,
In life’s battles, she plays a role.

A mother and grandmother, pure delight,
Her love extends from morning to night.
Through trials faced with unwavering might,
She’s a beacon in the darkest night.

In Florida’s warmth or Philly’s chill,
Her spirit radiates, a love that’s real.
A sister to your mom, a bond so strong,
A thread of love, forever long.

With Joe and Melissa by her side,
Her journey, with courage, they ride.
Grandchildren’s laughter, a melody sweet,
Echoing love from seat to seat.

From the Sunshine State to the City of Brotherly Love,
Aunt Patty’s strength, like wings of a dove.
In the tapestry of family, she’s a thread so rare,
An inspiration for all to care.

Let her know, amid the fight,
Her family stands with all their might.
In prayers and love, a united band,
For Aunt Patty, across the land.

About this poem

I wrote this poem, dedicated to my beautiful aunt Patricia Flanagan, who struggled with cancer, and eventually it took her life. I wrote it to try to give my family a little solace.

Just a humble man who seen some experience and most things in life at the simple age of 42 I have lost pretty much everybody in my family. I have been to war and seeing things that I didn’t want to see but the power words and Music always get me through. Keep your head up people God bless. more…
