Jungle Jinx

Dianne L Holden 1949 (Louisiana)

Disguise, be wise
Should you go through
The thickness of a jungle slew
The scenes will allure you
Aspiring to detour you
But beware, take care
For danger lurks there
Although the surrounding beauty distracts
Consciously remember to record your tracts
For if you drift in awesome wonder
Forever you're lost in a nightmare slumber
This mysterious land of infinity
Is a frightening maze of insanity
Chills of mortal death
Are deeply felt with each breath
Every step is one step closer
To the return of human exposure
Should you be so blessed to fill this endeavor
You'll vow to return definitely NEVER!
