Shadows in the Hall

Laying in bed at night and your voice I hear call,
I see you in every shadow in the hall:
Life's lessons you taught me echo through my head,
Love is the key to unlocking life is what you always said:
Shadows in the hall play tricks on my mind making see things that aren't real,
And as the thunder crashes and rain begins to fall your presence I do feel:
Wind blows through the house and makes a howling sound,
Even though I'm not in the water my chest is heavy and I feel like I may drown:
Memories are all I have to keep you here with by my side,
In my heart is a special place where they will always reside:
