Tick tock.

A J C 1958 (Swansea, MA)

Tick tock.

I watched the clock tick on by. The pendulum swings from side to side. Maybe it's time for me to say goodbye. I can't run and hide. It's going to chase me down till the end of time. I don't care, because you're mine. It's only a matter of time.

About this poem

I was in the hospital dying and I would look at every second that the clock ticked by and wondered. What can you do in one second? Please don't waste my time. This is true.
