I'm Disrespectful Respectfully

I’m Disrespectful Respectfully
By Robert T. Davenport

Oh, how I am disrespectful, so respectfully,
With every word I utter, so full of glee.
I twist and turn, my sarcasm so refined,
Leaving no doubt, that I'm one of a kind.

I speak with a smile, a twinkle in my eye,
But beneath the surface, my intentions lie.
I mock and jest, with a touch of disdain,
Leaving others wondering, if I'm truly sane.

I'm disrespectful, oh so politely,
With every gesture, I provoke so lightly.
I challenge the norms, with a subtle smirk,
Leaving others bewildered, in a state of murk.

I play with words, like a master of deceit,
Crafting sentences, that others find hard to meet.
I twist their meanings, with a clever twist,
Leaving others wondering, if they've been dismissed.

I'm disrespectful, but I do it with grace,
Leaving no trace of my true inner space.
I dance on the line, between humor and scorn,
Leaving others torn, feeling forlorn.

I jest and taunt, with a touch of finesse,
Leaving others guessing, in a state of distress.
I challenge their beliefs, with a sly remark,
Leaving them wondering, if I'm just a lark.

So, here I am, disrespectful and refined,
With every word I speak, so cleverly designed.
But beneath it all, there's a hint of truth,
A longing for connection, a search for proof.

For in my sarcasm, there lies a plea,
To be understood, to be seen for me.
So, forgive my disrespect, so respectfully,
For it's just a mask, hiding vulnerability.
