Predisposed

Because of childhood issues I
Will notice tone of voice
Of those who speak although I'll try
To not make that a choice.

I also watch expressions on
Their face as if to find
Some disapproval there upon
The faces that seem kind.

I must try harder to believe
That life has changed for me
And not like years so glad to leave,
Behind and let it be!
