Migrants beware

James Vincient Johnson 1952 (Algoma WV)

Migrants Beware

It’s often said, God gives you what you don’t understand.
Even if it's Migrants from another faraway land.
It’s often said, it’s better to turn the other cheek.
Even if you see Migrants running across the creek.
It’s often said, to be wise and use your head to think.
Even if it's Migrants, who see our land as a skating rink.
It’s often said, that you reap what you sow.
Even if it's Migrants willing to accept what they don’t know.
It’s often said, that you’ll leave this world the way you came.
Even if Migrants are not the blame.
It’s often said, that slaves tilled and built this land.
So Migrants do beware in this sand.
