Opportunity's Knocking

1st verse:
Meandering through the forest to the rendezvous,
But first we grab a leaf to sip the morning dew!
A taste of freshness gets the interest rising for the day;
we're breathing out and in, soaking sun rays!

A Journey to behold awaits our current motions.
Brought the bibs and bobs to make some healthy potions!
A blanket and a basket for our picnic later;
Mozzarella, butter, chives in the stuffed taters!

Now, in the midst of everything
that has ever taken place,
and all that is to be;
returning into grace.
Opportunity is knocking at your door!

How, after suffering and pain,
all the heartache and the shame,
those night I went insane,
with no one left to blame,
do I love you even more?

2nd verse:
Woke up from a wonderful experience;
Felt a little groggy and delirious;
Last night was a thrill ride, feeling alive,
what a great time, inside
my brain, for a change, said,
"Let's dream a little less serious".

And the thoughts of how it still could be
make a whirlwind in my psyche;
These addictions keep on driving
me crazy, when I could be thriving!
So I must make a better version of me;
A real life member in society;
A testimony that's inspiring;
Recovery and Sobriety.

3rd Verse:
Kicked a few vices curbside,
and the cravings left to my surprise,
yet the same love from before applies
with additions over time counting;

From each and every day yearning;
Mistakes and errors, I'm learning;
From the fat and calorie burning
and the challenges I'm surmounting;

Redemption has been calling.
Rebuild the castle walling.
Getting back up after falling;
Returning into grace;

Separated these truths from those lies;
Opportunity's knocking, realize
I'm gonna need you both to move aside
so I fit back into place!
