Seven Day Forecast

Eva Rodriguez

People sometimes think,
That racism like water
Evaporates into thin air,
But science and all its wisdom
Tells us it’s still there.
Floating and crystallizing
Forming dark clouds over head
Just to rain down on us
And start the process all over again

About this poem

This poem was more or less an observation on how racism actually works in my mind. It’s not so much a linear process but repetitive one that comes in different forms like water.
