A small bit of my life

Through my vivid memories I have a recollection of all things in my life. I lived a very colorful life filled with good and bad things not unlike many of all of us. Sometimes through my choices things went a little south however they never strayed to far for to long off a good course because I always felt and had God in my soul. From an age that was before my schooling I could feel God's presence in my heart and soul. Even with the trait of adolescents that young boys often experience no matter how mischievous I got I always came back to center because I felt God leading me. I was ahead of my time in maturity and that made me a leader to those atleast 5yrs older than myself. I never lead with a dominant hand I always included everyone and we decided together.  That did however change a little when I was in charge during my Navy years and your Boss doesn't want excuses they just want the job done in a manner that reflects the points of reference outlined in the orders. I still asked my team for ideas of how to move forward however since it was my butt on the line I had final say. I did it like that because I felt others could through their experiences have some good ideas. In the Military when adlibbing a job that is a little loose on guidelines and the job being accomplished turns out to be the main point in the end you have some Lea way in how it's done. If your boss doesn't see how you accomplished the job and it doesn't matter the end results are all that matter. It's through military experience that You gain this knowledge as I did. During the first 7 or so years I was in the Navy it was still the loose Navy of the late 60's and 70's. We were allowed to wear beards and the enforcement of rules and laws was a little loose. It was who you knew would dictate if and what kind of trouble a Sailor would get into. At that time the Vietnam and Cuba crisis wasn't to far from our memories so the military was experiencing a kind of resting period and life aboard ship was alot easier than when I retired. I served during a very interesting time and our Nation and the world was experiencing alot of growing pains. Out with the old things in with the new. Technology was building up to some inventions that would change civilian life for the better. The advancement of space technology was in full swing and just a stones throw away in years we'd be welcoming in a new century.  I served under 4 presidents and touched my toe in ending the 70's all of the 80's all of the 90's and brought in the new century.  When you serve especially in the Navy because the Navy has their hand in everything that touches and affects the world you live closer to the heartbeat of life and it really gives you a perspective on life that can't be duplicated anywhere else. I have alot of successes under my belt because my choices allowed me to and God was with me the entire way. Thank You Heavenly Father. When you are traveling through life always remember to keep God in your heart and soul.
