Guilt takes form in many different ways
It lurks in the shadows and haunts for days
A lot of weight for one person to hold
Feelings deep inside and all the stories that are untold
Is it too much for you to take?
You get that heavy feeling in your chest and you begin to flake
Do you long for that breath of relief?
To finally let go of all that grief?
You want your soul to be at peace
But forgiveness doesn’t always put the mind at ease
