The Clown

Alonzo Thomas Sr 1956 (Port Huron)

The show is over the crowd is leaving, and I walk to my dressing room, and I sit in front of the mirror removing my make up as a reveals the man behind the man and I look at her picture and she’s been gone for a while a single teardrop down my face without knowing a little girl walk her and she asked, why are you crying? And the clown reveals I cry for her and she’s been gone 25 years and she was my world and the only thing I knew was that she got  and the little girl presents a rose  and she handed to him and she given him a kiss on the side of the cheek and the clown watched as she fade into the crowd. There’s a note is written in crayon, and the note said, I hope you find someone there’s worthy of your love and if you don’t wait for me and I’ll be your Nubian Queen and your best friend, it was sealed with a kiss
