Demons

Kayla Gregory 1988 (Neosho, missouri)

The demons are moving from left to right, Singing their insults and banter all night. Floating like particles and Dust in the wind, engulfing your brain and wearing you thin. They sing their songs of loathe and hate, they break all the rules and question your fate. The demons are running all around, moving so swiftly to not make a sound. They sing their songs while you listen in, their goals are self hate and their motives are sin. They question your honor, they question your soul, leaving behind an empty hole. They will stop at nothing to tear you down, filling you up until you drown. They laugh as they sing and smile with glee, you cry out and beg you just want to be free. Their songs echo on throughout the day, as much as you try they always stay. The demons are bouncing around in your head, filling you with hopelessness, worry, and dread. Everyday is a fight, everyday is a struggle, it takes all you have to try not to buckle. They pray that they win, their goals are amuse, everyday they continue to do their abuse. It is all a game to them you see, their goal is misery and "I hate being me." Their chatter is constant never taking a break, you start to question how much more you can take. They chant their melodies with no ending in sight, as more days go by its harder to fight. You want to give up to end the pain, the more they speak they drive you insane. Its just a game they love to play, they want you to hurt in every way. You fight all you can everyday, they say what they want and do as they may. They will be there everyday, waiting for that one moment you can no longer keep them at bay.
