Eternal Serenade

In the depths of yearning, I find my words,
Aching with love, like singing song birds.
I miss you terribly, I love you more madly.
My breath, shallow, as hands tremors take hold,
Reflecting in mirrors, a story unfolds.
Beneath my eyes, shadows stark and deep,
Where golden pharaohs in slumber do sleep.
Sunsets greet them with colors so bright,
While darkness creeps in, casting eerie delights.
Sorrows heavy, through my very soul they roam,
Morrow's banks wither, consuming the home.
Fading nights, swallowed by lights' luminescence,
As darkness dances, a hauntingly presence.
But here you are, drawing closer, my dear,
Promising safety, with vanishing fear.
No worries to carry, just bliss never ending,
In the warmth of your heart, my solace extending.
Can we dwell in this spot, space and time evermore?
Sharing a song, a smile, down love's sweet encore.
Your kiss upon my lips, a divine treasure,
Living eternal, in joyful charms measure.
Your embrace, eternal, calming and serene,
With voice that soothes and covers, a heavenly scene.
I long to see your smile, bask in God's fine peace,
To hold onto you, fear and worries, their intricate decease.
Tonight, your silence left me wide-eyed awake,
Waiting for a faint yet breathless tone, my heart did ever ache.
I pray you rest now, safe and sound in slumber's warm embrace,
Dreaming of worlds unseen, our love's one sacred space.
Hello again, my love, my beating heart,
I hold your hand with vows, of never shall we part.
I miss you terribly, I love you so madly,
In life and in death, I'll cherish you gladly.
With each beat and thump of my heart, I hold you nearer than near,
For you are my soul, my beloved, so dear.

About this poem

The process of loss. The instant silence manifesting into the desperate anguish screams that only you can hear and the entity that now encompasses your every cell. The awakening, the steadfast loyalty and faith of love returning to a space where we stop time. A tomorrow will bring us together. Eternally waiting for every tomorrow while never losing love and the faith of our sacred place our dreams lent its vision.
