Dx- to Life in disguise

For growth to wait,
Now I see this,
all uncertainty aside
I’ve come to realize
Many others do relate
As cancer takes so much my energy
Time really is so dire
All the fear lingers another week-
Yet I see all I don’t want to miss
I rather seek to inspire

Creative fleets of ways to contemplate
Empowering is what I know & see
For now I seek self awareness mysteriously
To let me be alone… in self reflection
Maybe knowing internal resemblance
Of who I am & will be
Abstractly- how to be beyond cancer

Intuitively- what’s known
United we are through inner connections
To understand one self
Let go of what was to be
Yet to one another
We are all just temporary

Just here - so what is to say
Just to find courage (realistically)
Live beyond, rebelliously
With emphasis, be bold in today
Even in uncertainties
To find courage on purpose
Unapologetically
To feel my truth in identity

Invigorating past experiences of rigid
Despite some bad days, after treatment
To find peace & some serenity’
Even on days felt-
Surrendering

Mindful & meditation
To what is human glimmers
On such days may heaven know hell
Such, ways to only breathe
Exhale!
such days it’s just to simmer

Not to resist
What is  consciousness?
So we lay our next plans out
On sad days- to how we want
To be remembered
But - growth can’t wait
I see this & all is energy
To feel connected
To mindfully know
Intuition in this life tree
How time is invested

Angels show diagnostic's
in Disguise
As to what we truly we seek
Mindfully. Realizing
How to live our truest lives

About this poem

So to ask what is to be ”whole” or those answers we seek. Facing uncertainty in stage 4 blood cancer diagnosis, we will learn more about love & what to cherish. Even when left feeling alone- incomplete- empty emotions- lost energy & those days left to process fate. To find comfort in mindfulness & ease what freedom now a-days Implies. The meander's of how to invest our energy & in time to spend more wisely. All mindfulness Is to now this internal ”knowing” - like a clock & an intuition reset; almost angelic in nature. In our belief mindset & this majestic realization of beautiful awakenings; just like a GoD given gift. Stepping into your true strength within an infinite awareness, of life is like a blossoming life tree of unknown- yet universal connection to consciousness. It’s like beauty is the eye of the beholder who knows infinite possibilities- in scope of reality that is our perception of life.

Christa G Ayres

Currently pausing my normal life routine to make sense of preserving energy( time being) with in the confines stage 4 blood cancer. Inspired by the new awareness as I’ve taken time off to process the changes in any cancer patient & how to find peace within. I’m a mother of 4 kids - 3 living at home , as I homeschool & just keep up with daily activities and slowly regaining confidence to continue to build my consulting career as creative professionals in business development. I’m currently studying mindfulness, zen practice and meditation. As I am realizing the intuitive nature of awakening when faced with stage 4 cancer diagnosis : I’m realizing the art how we see mortality, human suffering as a reflection of awakening. This produces awareness in consciousness & seeing the artistic value in creation that can bring beauty into life’s challenges. Such as: meaning of life, human consciousness & true purpose - I’m seeking creative freedom to live life more artistically & visionary ideas while going through treatment at UNC gives an incredible opportunity for new insights. more…
